My work is influenced by my artistic training at Rhode Island School of Design and Boston University and my studies in horticulture at Temple University at Ambler. I worked for John Collins, a noted Philadelphia landscape architect who founded the native plant nursery that I later managed for eleven years.

My work is also informed by my volunteer work with a local park which is an ongoing native plant restoration project, hiking and exploring natural areas, volunteering at a local farm, and tending the rewilding of my property.
